This may sound like a daft question, but what does the 3par actually need DNS for? As surely hosts that's are added are all iSCSI names or WWN's the only thing i could see is you can use the DBS name for 3par, so in the GUI you can connect using the DNS name and not just the IP. |

The NTP accepts only IP. Even if the DNS is set, the array does not register itself. IMO, the DNS is useless. Maybe LDAP ? |
