Post subject:  Problem with add M6720 to V7200

Dear All

I have a problem with adding a new shelf M6720 to 3Par v7200. My steps are

1. i connected v7200 DP1 to M6720 DP1 on both controller. The shelf firmware version shown unknown so i use command "upgradecage cage1" After command completed successfully
2. showcage -d cage0 no defail information available cage1 status is fine
3. there are some error said upgradepd failed in Event
4. i called and open case with HP Thailand, they the problem come from my incorrect cabling.
5. i reconnect cabling DP2 to DP1 but the problem is still presisted.
6. in 3par managaement console, there is no controller in controller menu

but all volume are accesible fine. what i want to do next is disconnect cage1 and reboot cage0

or do you guys have any workaround solution? thank you in advance.

cabling is corrected now. according to cabling guide but the problem is still persist.

What HP Thailand suggest me to do is only rebuild my cage0 after they review my splore log

but i think there might there might be some way to solve this issue without rebuild my cage0.

i'm in the process of backup everything and i'll try to reboot cage0 today.

After reboot cage0 status back to normal. but upgradepd task still running and failed
