I have just ordered several 3PAR ql235b/ql313b FC disk shelves for disk eradication purposes. I was assured by the seller that they would be backwards compatible with 2 gig FC disks. I've been messing around with the shelf and I can't get it to initialize any of the 2 gig disks I've tried. I see that there is a 4 gig light on the interface card. I assume that this would indicate that it is possible for the shelf to operate 2 gig drives. Do I have to do something to switch it? Is there some kind of console that I can access via the lan ports on the front? Sorry for being such a noob, but I'm beginning to have some serious buyers remorse here.
