In firmware 3.1.1 and older it was available but had to be turned on in advanced settings, when creating the lun (if i remember correctly) To apply thinning, you'll need to DO the tpvv to a fpvv an back, such that the asic is forced to rethin. Just enabling the zero detect policy will not cleanup zero's that are already written.
