Post subject:  3PAR Port busy metric (%)

Hi
Can one explain in detail what AVG Port busy (%) is about. What does it stand for. What can influence this metric.
It seems bandwith used , seen for one of our systems, equals 50% (used bandwith/theoretical max bandwith) and port busy = 100% for some intervals.Values seen are for host-ports , not RCFC ports wich are Always 100% busy (information from Help in SSMC).
Thanks upfront

The percentage of time that the object is busy (i.e., has at least one outstanding IO
operation).

I have not found a good use for this metric.

Here is an older post about it that refers to System Reporter which has been replaced by SSMC.
