Good afternoon,

I am working on a 7400 with version 3.2.1 MU3.

I noticed a 14TB VMWare vlun attached from 3PAR running out of space, so I ran growvv <vv name> 500g from the CLI to add space.

The space has been added to the vsize column but not the user size column, and the vv size seen by the StoreServ GUI has not increased.

Additionally I rescanned the ESX servers and do not see any space addition.

Am I missing something obvious here?

Thanks,

User size for tpvv will not grow before the space is used.

You need to extend the vmfs partition/file system to see the added space.

Thank you. This was actually a VMWare problem in the end.
