Post subject:  7400 SFP+ (iSCSI) Networking

Hello,

I'm currently confused as to how the ISCSI networking is setup for the 7400 (4-node) system.

With my existing Lefthand P4500 SAN I bonded the two network interfaces (per node) using link aggregation. However, with my 7400 I see 8 individual iSCSI ports but no way to bond the SFP+ interfaces between nodes 0-3 under a single LAG group.

What could I be missing here?

Thanks for your assistance.

The 3PAR is symmetric active / active, multipathing will use round robin load balancing so no need to use bonding etc.

You can find the HP 3PAR Operating System Implementation Guides here http://goo.gl/mzM4Y7 they list all of the required steps and settings required to connect each O/S.

Note they're well worth following as getting the connectivity wrong upfront may well work but could lead to issues during upgrades, maintenance etc.
