We are not talking of LD failed but CPG failed because of a lack of space to grow.
i was advised by HP 3PAR support to do a compactld and it worked.

Anyway, it costs nothing to try it.

I wasn't aware a compactld fixes this issue as well. I always use tuneld.

Anyway, in both cases the LDs that are created with the degraded parameters should show up with the checkhealth -svc -detail.

Hello Everyone,
I Have a problem with a CPG - it is in a failed state and State Description shows Admin Space Grow Failed:

In the Allerts Tab there is one error - it had a State Resolved by the system, which I changed to Fixed:

How can I unmark a failed CPG. It seems everything is in order - checkhealth command shows nothing at all.

Normally, by clicking the refresh button. Does closing the IMC and reconnecting to the 3par (forcing a refresh) help?

Unfortunately that doesn't help.

Once you have verified that you have enough space for the actual error message to be resolved, run a setsysmgr restart.. Essentially what is occurring is that for some reason sysmgr has recognized the changes(new space that it did not have before) and therefore restarting sysmgr will resolve the issue.

I have used it myself a number of times.. Just ensure that you have resolved the original issue of the admin space growth
