So, I have a client who setup their F200 sub-optimally.

Particularly, they set their SSD CPG as R1 instead of R5, for AO.

Best practice is to us R5 for SSD under AO. Is it possible to somehow make the changes while the system it live?

Yes you can do this online, but there's a number of ways you could achieve this, simplest first

Evacuate the SSD tier by setting a limit on the CPG, suspend the schedule, then create a new SSD CPG and rejig the AO policy then re-enable the schedule.

Suspend the AO schedule, retune the VV's to the owning CPG then create a new SSD CPG and rejig the AO policy and re-enable the schedule.

Setup 3 new CPG's and AO policy, schedule, re tune the volumes into the new CPG and then enable the scehdule.

Don't forget to compact the old CPG's to return the space.

Ok, some problems

First option won't work - I can not set a growth limit on the volume to evacuate space, since it will not allow me to set on smaller than what is already used.

Second option - required DO to be licensed. Not available.

Third option - this looks like what we will have to do.
