Hello everybody, just a simple questions which I unfortunately can't test at the moment... Can I safely rename VVs using 3PAR Management Conolse, that are exported to hosts using a volume set? Thanks for advice! Best regards, Patrick |

Ive done it succesfully without any sort of interruption. But it was not on a production system to be honest. |

Thanks for your reply. I can confirm: You can do it without downtime. |

The only thing I have seen as a side effect of renaming VVs is that System Reporter will see a renamed VV as a new VV. So you will have to include both names if you are focusing in on that given volume. Oh and the line will change color in the middle of your graph |
